Dwayne Tucker is the interim president of Tennessee State University (TSU), a role he assumed in December 2024 to guide the institution through a period of financial and administrative challenges . A proud TSU alumnus, Tucker earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 1980 . He brings over four decades of leadership experience across the corporate, nonprofit, and education sectors, including executive roles at First Data, Northwest Airlines, and as CEO of LEAD Public Schools . As interim president, Tucker has launched a “Students First” initiative, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and student-centered decision-making.
