Susan Leach

Visibility Coordinator

Susan Leach was born and raised in Columbia, Tennessee. After attending college in West Tennessee, she returned to Middle Tennessee to teach third grade. In 2015, Susan left the classroom, and two years later, she and her husband opened Needle and Grain, a home goods and gift shop with a refill station for cleaning supplies, located in downtown Columbia.

Susan became involved with Safer TN in 2024, motivated by her background as a longtime teacher and as a parent whose son was entering kindergarten at the time. The cause was close to her heart, and she joined the team to help increase Safer TN’s visibility through merchandise, yard signs, and more. Her role has continued to grow, and she is now an essential part of the team.

Susan continues to live in Columbia with her husband and three children.
