Mat Pfeffer brings more than 25 years of leadership, program management, and community service experience to Safer TN. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Mat served 21 years as a U.S. Marine Corps officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel after multiple combat deployments. During his military career, he developed extensive experience in firearms training, safety, and responsible weapons handling while leading diverse teams and complex programs around the world.
Following his military service, Mat spent six years in the medical device industry, where he led global programs and operations focused on improving patient care. He holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Oklahoma.

As a veteran and longtime responsible firearm owner, Mat believes firearm ownership, safety, education, and responsible practices go hand in hand.
