Double Your Impact. Create Safer Communities
From April 29 to May 1, Voices for a Safer Tennessee is launching a 50-hour campaign to raise $50,000—and thanks to a generous matching gift from Barbara Hyde, one of our top backers from Memphis, every dollar donated will be matched up to $25,000. That means your support will go twice as far—but only for 50 hours.
Why Now?
As the legislative session comes to a close, our work doesn’t stop. This 50-hour campaign powers the next phase of our mission: to prevent firearm tragedies and build safer communities—together.
Thanks to a generous matching challenge from the Hyde Foundation, every dollar you give will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $25,000.
What Your Gift Supports
Your donation makes a tangible difference. Here’s what your impact looks like:
- $20 reaches one rural gun owner with a secure storage message via radio. Can you help us reach five listeners?
- $140 funds one full day of billboard messaging in high-traffic areas. Will you sponsor a day?
- $500 Sponsors an educational webinar or panel on suicide prevention, legislative learning, and more. Your support brings critical conversations to life.
- $1,000 Fuels county-specific research to inform life-saving firearm policies for those most at risk. Invest in data that drives real change.
What Your Gifts Made Possible This Session
Thanks to your generous support, we’ve accomplished big things this legislative session:
- Educated our coalition through in-person and virtual legislative learning sessions that demystified the policy process for Tennesseans.
- Presented public safety talks at 15 civic organizations across 10 counties outside of Tennessee’s three largest (Davidson, Hamilton, and Knox).
- Launched a statewide billboard campaign promoting the life-saving message of secure firearm storage.
- Worked with legislative leaders to:
- Ban Glock switches
- Prohibit firearm ammunition access for felons
- Strengthen sentencing for drive-by shootings
Your gifts didn’t just support a cause—they fueled action and change across the state.
