As we have relaxed Tennessee state gun laws, allowing firearms in more places with less training and fewer background checks, we have seen firearm injuries and deaths skyrocket. We are now #1 in the nation for guns stolen from cars, and in the top three states in the nation for accidental shootings by children. Guns are the #1 killer of Tennessee kids.
Now, the Tennessee General Assembly is currently reviewing several bills that roll back our gun laws even further. These potential policy changes could place our families, communities, and places of business at greater risk.
