We are in critical need of addressing a 761,000-record backlog in our state’s background check system, which keeps firearms from landing in the hands of felons and domestic abusers. If the budget proposal is passed, it will offer increased funding for law enforcement, and in turn, better protect our neighbors from the threat of armed criminals.
