Bill Carpenter

Healthcare Executive and Chairman of the Board for FirstBank

​​Bill Carpenter is the Chairman of the Board at FirstBank. Previously, he served as Chairman and CEO of LifePoint Health, where he led the company’s growth into a Fortune 500 entity with over 85 facilities across 30 states. Before his healthcare leadership, Carpenter was a partner at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, specializing in corporate finance, mergers, and healthcare regulatory matters. He is also actively involved in various healthcare and community organizations, having served on the boards of the American Hospital Association, the Federation of American Hospitals, and the Nashville Health Care Council. Carpenter holds both an undergraduate degree and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University.
