
Clay Richards
Clay Richards is an operating partner with Clayton, Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), a leading private investment firm.
Prior to joining CD&R, he served as the co-founder and CEO of naviHealth, a pioneering company that leveraged technology to transform post-acute care. Clay led the company’s strategic vision and executive leadership for a decade, guiding its rapid growth and its acquisition by UnitedHealth Group in 2020.
A lifelong Tennessean, Clay is actively involved in nonprofit work in the Nashville area and advocates for responsible, forward-looking policies that make his home state safer. He holds a J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law and a B.S. in accounting and finance from Washington and Lee University. He lives in Nashville with his wife, Amy, and their three children.
