Mary Ellen Brewington

Mary Ellen Brewington

Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Mary Ellen Brewington built a distinguished career as an executive at her family’s business, Cherokee Distributing Company, where she worked until her retirement in 2019. Since retiring, she has remained active in business and community life by bringing her entrepreneurial spirit to new ventures.

For more than a decade, she and her daughter, Nell, have co-owned Est8te, a contemporary women’s boutique in Knoxville known for its modern style and loyal following. She is also actively involved with her family’s 650-acre boutique resort and upland preserve on the Tennessee River. Led by her eldest son, Steven, Windy Hill Farm & Preserve blends immersive hospitality, conservation experiences, and regional culinary excellence.
