Nycole Gentry, Coalition Coordinator, Knoxville

Originally from Mississippi, Nycole has called Knoxville home for more than a decade. She has spent much of that time working in the nonprofit sector, including with Cancer Survivor Care, the YMCA, and the Lifelong Learning Collective.

Nycole is currently pursuing her Master’s in Information and Library Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is also raising her son in Knoxville, where she is deeply committed to building safer, stronger communities.

With a background in nonprofit work and business management, Nycole sees this role as an opportunity to combine her professional skills with a mission that truly matters. Having grown up in a family of hunters, she believes gun safety, education, and advocacy are essential to creating communities that are informed, empowered, and safe.

In her free time, Nycole enjoys art and creative pursuits.
