Staff Members – Claudia Huskey

Claudia Huskey

Executive Director

Claudia Huskey is a veteran political strategist and founding member of Safer TN. She has managed successful political campaigns, held senior leadership roles in state and local government, and raised millions of dollars for a wide range of causes and candidates.

She has held senior staff roles for Vice President Al Gore, U.S. Congressman Harold Ford, Jr., Tennessee State Senator Lowe Finney, and Nashville Mayor Megan Barry.

Claudia serves on the board of The Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and is a deacon at Woodmont Christian Church. She was named to the Nashville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2014 and was part of the Nashville Emerging Leaders Class of 2008.

She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Iowa.
